The Government of Turkey requires you to get a government permit AND use a certified guide to climb Mount Ararat.
It is extremely important for you to use a company that is licensed and uses certified guides to take you safely to the summit of Mount Ararat. Make sure you check that the company you choose has a valid Tursab http://www.tursab.org.tr/ license. You can check this by visiting this link http://www.tursab.org.tr/en/travel-agencies/search-travel-agency and putting in the license number of the company. Armount Trek Tour license number is 6243. Properly licensed companies will have this license number posted on their site, or should give it to you upon request. This is the first thing you should check when searching for a trekking company.
Do not send any deposit until you have verified the license number of the company you are considering. Make sure your guide is a properly certified guide.
There are many non-licensed and non-certified companies out there. Do not use any of these companies. The first thing you should do when choosing a company is to check their license number.
