4 Mount Ararat Tour
4 Day Mount Ararat Trek
Begins every Friday, June - September
Day 1 - Dogubeyazit to Mount Ararat
Transfer from Dogubeyazit to Eli village at 2250 meters, then walk to Yesil Yayala
base camp at 3200 meters with transportation of equipment by porter and/or pack
animals. Overnight base camp.
Day 2 - Mount Ararat Trek
Climb to the second camp; transportation of equipment by porter and/or pack
animals. Overnight at 4200 meters.
Day 3 - Mount Ararat Summit
Depart from second camp at 4 AM and climb to Mount Ararat Summit of 5165
meters, afterwards return to Yesil Yayala base camp with transportation of
equipment by porter and/or pack animals and overnight.
Day 4 - Mount Ararat to Dogubeyazit
Walk from first camp to 2250 meters. Drive to Dogubeyazit

Government Permits to climb Mt. Ararat:
The Government of Turkey requires you to get a government permit AND use a certified guide to climb Mount Ararat.
It is extremely important for you to use a company that is licenced and uses certified guides to take you safely to the summit of Mount Ararat. Make sure you check that the company you choose has a valid Tursab http://www.tursab.org.tr/ licence. You can check this by visiting this link http://www.tursab.org.tr/en/travel-agencies/search-travel-agency and putting in the licence number of the company. Armount Trek Tour licence number is 6243. Properly licenced companies will have this licence number posted on their site, or should give it to you upon request. This is the first thing you should check when searching for a trekking company.
Do not send any deposit until you have verified the licence number of the company you are considering. Make sure your guide is a properly certified guide.
There are many non-licenced and non-certified companies out there. Do not use any of these companies. The first thing you should do when choosing a company is to check their licence number.
